The store is located at 5th Street and Binyamin Street in the heart of the Old City, just a short walk from the Gush Etzion settlement and the Old Port of Tel Aviv.
The shop is called Jared the Gift Box and is a partnership between the Jared the Gifts Group and the Jewish Agency of Israel, according to a press release from the store.
The gift box company is led by Israeli entrepreneur and Jewish Agency representative Uri Friedman.
Friedman is known for his philanthropy, giving away hundreds of millions of shekels to Jewish causes worldwide.
He said the shop was inspired by the fact that gift boxes have been used in the Jewish communities in Israel, the US and many other countries.
“The fact that we are able to bring together Jewish and international customers, who share a common interest in making a difference, has been an inspiration,” Friedman said.
“We have always felt the need to help make a difference in the world.
It is an important part of our culture, and the fact it can be used in Israel is just the icing on the cake.”
The store will sell products including jewelry, handbags, necklaces, earrings, and accessories, as well as jewelry and accessories for women, the store said.
According to the press release, the business will be based in the Old Quarter, the hub of the Jewish quarter in Jerusalem.
The opening was announced by the Israeli Foreign Ministry in September.
The Israel Brand Group, which owns the Jared The Galleria, said it would be opening a separate shop in the same building.
The Jared The Gifts Group is a leading Jewish jewelry and gift store chain with more than 20 stores in Israel and more than 30 in the US.
